The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。简介：在菩提祖师座下共同学艺的妖界七大圣牛魔王、孙悟空、鹏魔王、蛟魔王等人义结金兰，誓约同生共死。这时太上老君却带着铁扇公主前来托交于菩提祖师，牛魔王与铁扇公主私下日久生情。但太上老君竟对铁扇公主还有不轨之心，将其带回，牛魔王揭竿而起统一妖界欲救回铁扇。然而牛魔王还是被太上老君擒拿，最后因铁扇怀有身孕做了背锅侠与其成婚。感情上却渐渐迷上了玉面狐狸，而后兄弟阋墙，夫妻反目。最终牛魔王被打回原形和铁扇、红孩儿母子二人相依为命。。
