回到故乡，女诗人叶唤珍饱受失眠和幻觉困扰。一向坚忍而独立的她，也因周遭的隔阂与压力而不堪重负，情感濒临枯竭。当她感知到另一个孤独灵魂，她开始追溯，向过去的梦境寻求答案：一朵消失的格桑花、一个脚印、一眼枯泉……答案若不在尘世，又会在哪儿？。A brother and sister move into an old seaside house they find abandoned for many years on the English coast. Their original enchantment with the house diminishes as they hear stories of the previous owners and meet their daughter (now a young woman) who now lives as a neighbor with her grandfather.
